Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, Julian Fellowes’ last
outing of the Downton Abbey saga depicts the Crawley
family in the 1930s facing social disgrace and financial
difficulties. Lady Mary’s (Michelle Dockery) divorce from
Henry Talbot causes a scandal, while the family grapples
with money problems. Amidst these challenges, Robert
hands over the reins to Mary, who takes charge as the
new Lady of Downton Abbey. The film ends with the
family embracing change and securing the legacy of the
estate for the next generation.
